Chamboree 2026 - 8th - 15th August 2026
Welcoming over 6,000 Scouts and Guides to Cheshire.
With an Animal Kingdom theme, our 2026 Chamboree promises to be wild. Chamboree is a week long international camp, held on the Cheshire Showground every four years. Organised by Cheshire Scouts in partnership with Girlguiding in Cheshire, the event will take place between 8th - 15th August 2026.
Cost Schedule
As these Chamboree camps are only every 4 years, you only get one opportunity to go while you are in explorers. These camps are very popular and fill up quickly.
The following cost schedule is fixed by the Chamboree organisers. If you have not paid the deposit by 11th December you will not be going.
The payments are :- £50 deposit by 23rd October, £150 by 11th December, £150 by 5th March. Totalling £350 which includes all activities and food.
You can still join up between 23rd October and 11th December but it will cost an additional £30.
Payments then become £200 deposit by 11th December, the remaining £180 payable by 5th March. Totalling £380.
This camp will be going ahead irrespective of the number of Viking Explorer Scouts who attend.
Imagine the district camp you attended in June at Tatton and then times the fun by three.
That’s it, six days and nights of continuous adventurous activities
Daytime
From traditional skills to wild activities, expect laser quest,
returning adrenaline filled favourites from past events,
a field of giant inflatables, quad biking, arts and crafts, cultural zones, climbing, and a giant leap. And on top a (currently top secret) day off-site!
At Night
Chamboree comes truly to life in the evenings,
with entertainment under the stars. Get involved or watch our talent show, watch performances from the professionals
sing and dance the night away to live bands and our resident DJ!
Sub camps
Each named after an animal habitat, our six subcamps are ready to meet their primates. Each led by a team, your subcamps will become your home for the week. Although camping with your local group, you'll be amongst
other Scouts and Guides both nationally and internationally
Internationals
We're welcoming international Scouts and Guides from across the globe. They’ll join us for our Jamboree in Cheshire, meeting UK Scouts and Guides and taking part in a week full of activities both at Cheshire Showground and off-site.
